We are pleased to announce that Weilworks has won the Mayor's Design Award for 2006. The Mayor's Design Award celebrates design in all its forms: bold, humble, gritty, polished, contemporary and traditional. The 2006 MDA recognizes sixteen projects that have made a contribution to Denver's imaginative new design and architecture.

The category Weilworks has been honored with is Home is Where the Art Is. This category highlights extraordinary contributions to the residential environment. An infill project that reflects the style and personality of the homeowner and respects the neighborhood fabric.

Weilworks would like to thank Mayor Hickenlooper & the City of Denver for this great honor. Below is a shout out to the people that helped make it all happen.

Weilworks would like to thank our brilliant architect David Lynn Wise and his team for their stellar design and professional approach.

We would also like to thank David Rieseck and Michael Buchenau our landscape architects for their vision, design and hard work they've put into the project since the beginning.

Doug Seaman of Douglas Construction & John Gilkenson of Bauerworks also did a beautiful job as the builders of Weilworks. Their superb attention to detail and top-notch craftsmanship brought the whole project to fruition.

Felecia Ashby of Cosmos Design also did a excellent job as Landscape Designer for the backyard and adjacent property.

I also would like to send a special thank you to developer Mickey Zeppelin and local artist Susan Wick for all their guidance on finding the property and continued support.

Dan Hagstrom of Yellowstone Mortgage also deserves a thank you as he helped me acquire the financing for the project.
